In 3QU 2007, the total area of high-quality warehouse facilities increased by 43%, amounting to more than 470 000 sq. m (including logistical complexes and speculative warehouses and excluding warehouses used for own needs and freezers).

By the end of 2007, around 89 000 sq. m. of new dry storage space are to become operational. All warehouse facilities meet class A standards.

RENTS
Rents for class A warehouses are around $115-135 per sq. m. per year, rents for class B warehouses range from $110 to $120 per sq. m. per year (net of VAT and OPEX).
Safe custody services cost from $0.40 to $0.50 per pallet per day in class A warehouses and from $0.34 to $0.42 per pallet per day in class B warehouses (net of loading-unloading expenses and VAT).
SIGNIFICANT EVENTS
- For implementation of the Maryino Industrial Park project (on a 130 ha site in proximity to the Noydorf-Strelna Industrial Estate and the Ropsha Highway), a closed-end mutual real estate fund Industrial property, managed by VTB Asset Management, was established. 42 ha are assigned for the construction of warehouses consisting of eight class A terminals with a total floor space of 260 000 sq. m.
- M-Industry Group, specializing in housing construction, announced of its plans to enter the warehouse market. It will build a class A logistical terminal with a total floor space of 95 000 sq. m. in Utkina Zavod.
- KPD-Cargo announced a project for construction of a manufacturing and storage facility with a total area of 78 000 sq. m. in the town of Otradnoye.
- National Container Company (NCC) has started the construction of a logistical complex in Shushary. In particular, the project provides for the construction of warehouses, a wholesale complex and a container terminal.
- In August, the construction of the warehouse complex AKM with a total area of 150 000 sq. m. was started in Shushary.
